ATEEZ Attains Their First Double Platinum Certification On The Gaon Chart


ATEEZ has received quite an admirable accomplishment. The bedazzling boy group achieved their first double platinum certification on the Gaon chart. This latest feat is one that spotlights the group’s undeniable and unrivaled growth.


The “Fireworks (I’m The One)” crooners’ 6th mini-album ZERO: FEVER Part.2, which was released in March this year, surpassed the total sales of 500,000 copies and thereby received the double platinum certification in the Gaon Chart album cumulative sales category.

Gaon Chart’s Platinum is a certification granted when album sales exceed 250,000 copies, and ATEEZ received platinum certification by setting a record of surpassing 300,000 copies in Initial Chodong sales right after the release of ZERO: FEVER Part.2. Subsequently, the album recently achieved cumulative sales of more than 500,000 copies, which recorded ATEEZ’s first Double Platinum certification.

Ever since their debut, ATEEZ has been showcasing an impressive and steady growth. According to the recent Hanteo Global K-Pop Report that recorded the global index rankings for the first half of 2021, ATEEZ placed at the 2nd spot, coming in behind BTS, proving their global popularity.


The global index ranking sees the direct purchasing and authentication of albums by fans globally. ATEEZ accounts for 9.94% of the total album volume certified in the first half of this year. At the same time, they have a high certification rate in various countries including the United States, France, Malaysia, and Japan.

In addition to this, ATEEZ achieved the title of “Best Male Idol Who Brightened Up The First Half Of 2021” on the global K-pop fandom platform Whosfan. ATINY showed their overwhelming support for the group by garnering about 28% of the total 700,000 global votes.

Moreover, the group’s comeback album ZERO: FEVER Part.2, has shown an exceptional performance on various music charts. At the time of its release, it sold 150,000 copies on the first day of release alone. It also achieved its own record of 300,000 copies in the first week of release. Later, it topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 36 countries. It also topped on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 20 countries. Overall, the album marked a strong presence in various domestic and global music charts.

It is safe to state that with these awe-inspiring accomplishments, ATEEZ is certainly raising the bar as ace artists. The group definitely continues to rise as a next-generation K-pop player.

Meanwhile, ATEEZ will be setting hearts aflutter with their dynamic tunes with their first Japanese single album Dreamers. The album will release across various music sites on July 28.
