B.I has attained yet another stellar feat! The all-rounder will be the first Asian artist to appear on GRAMMYs Global Spin. The ace artist will be ringing in the new year with style as his performance stage will be revealed on January 4.
The performance is part of the GRAMMYs Global Spin series that has been designed to promote a variety of notable worldwide music by the Recording Academy. Through the same, the GRAMMYs aim to highlight diverse sounds and voices of musicians from around the world.
With B.I being the first Asian artist to take part in the series, it is not only a momentous move for the K-pop genre broadly but is also a nod to the “WATERFALL” crooner’s potential as a force to be reckoned with.
The talented singer-rapper received a proposal from the GRAMMYs for the Global Spin series in December. Thereafter, B.I tuned in and arranged a selection of songs, before filming the live stage for the program.
Since this September, various global artists have held live performances through the GRAMMYs Global Spin series. Each episode of the same features a performance from a prominent artist or group to celebrate both, the creators and their home countries.
B.I has unequivocally established his position as an ace artist. He has spotlighted his ever-evolving musicality as a singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer on each of his releases. Not only that, he has awed listeners with his versatility that is reflected in his eclectic sounds throughout his exceptional discography.
Moreover, this year, he released his first full-length album WATERFALL which evidentially dazzled fans as it topped the iTunes album chart in 24 regions. In November, B.I was recognized for his musical genius as he took the top spot on the iTunes Song charts in 15 regions with his half album COSMOS.
The powerhouse soloist continues to gain recognition for his artistry as he landed a spot in Time magazine’s “The Best K-Pop Songs and Albums of 2021” with WATERFALL.
Meanwhile, B.I will unveil a dynamic live stage in the performance series GRAMMYs Global Spin, which will air through the official GRAMMYs website, SNS as well as on their official YouTube channel on January 4 at 10 AM PST and 1 PM EST.
