The music video for BTS’ digital single “Dynamite”, which released at 1 PM KST on August 21, has exceeded 200 million views on YouTube on August 26. This win comes after just 4 days and 12 hours after the release of the music video.
The “Dynamite” music video not only broke BTS’ own record for their “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)” music video which also surpassed 200 million views a week ago, but also set a world record of garnering 200 million views in the shortest time in the history of a YouTube music video.
Moreover, the music video also reached over 3 million users at the time of release, thereby also attaining the record for the highest number of YouTube premier music videos ever viewed. Additionally, on August 23, YouTube revealed that the “Dynamite” music video had reached 111.1 million views within 24 hours of its release becoming the “Most Views In 24 Hours” in YouTube history.
Staying true to its name, “Dynamite” certainly made a booming impact on listeners as it swept the top spot on the iTunes Top Song chart in 104 countries and regions around the world by August 22. On Spotify, as of August 21, it maintained its top rank in the Global Top 50 list.
