BTS has achieved yet another stellar feat and this time with member Jimin’s solo song “Filter” from their chart topping album Map Of The Soul: 7!
BTS’ Jimin’s solo song “Filter” has set the record for placing at No. 1 on iTunes 100 countries around the world. On August 26, it topped the iTunes charts in Antigua and Barbuda thereby accelerating to its spot at the top in 100 regions.
As a result, “Filter” becomes the sixth among BTS songs to rank first in more than 100 countries on iTunes, and became the eighth song in the world to attain the same.
“Filter” is a breezy Latin inspired dance number which showcases Jimin’s sweet and flirty sides as he sings lines such as, “Mix the colors in the palette, pick your filter/ Which me do you want?/The one to change your world, I’m your filter/Overlay me in your heart/ Can you feel it now? Is it still not enough?/ Girl, you have your chance/ I can be your Genie/ How ‘bout Aladdin?/ I’ll be anything/ You can pick and choose me,” in his mellifluous and dreamy voice.
Despite the recent release of BTS’ new digital single “Dynamite”, Jimin’s “Filter” continues to be loved more so than ever as it surpassed 75 million streams on Spotify and also topped on Amazon Music. Moreover, Jimin’s “Filter” has also previously achieved a triple crown and debuted on three major charts including the US Billboard, UK Official Chart, and Canada Billboard.
