GOT7 looks towards a new future as they decide not to renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment.
JYP Entertainment released an official statement regarding GOT7’s exclusive contract. The agency confirmed that the much-loved boy group will not be renewing their contracts and will instead be focussing on other opportunities.

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
JYP held an in-depth discussion with the members ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract on January 19.
As a result of the discussions, both sides decided not to proceed with the renewal of the contract, instead wishing for a newer future.
GOT7 has been a global idol group representing K-Pop for the last 7 years since they debuted on January 16, 2014.
GOT7 has been together through the growth of both K-Pop and JYP Entertainment, and we would like to thank the fans, iGOT7’s, who have been the driving force behind GOT7’s promotions with the generous support they have shown since their debut.
Although our relationship with GOT7 is over, JYP Entertainment will sincerely support the new future each member of GOT7 will move on to.

Prior to the reveal of the statement, on January 10, the members of the group unveiled a series of SNS posts that proved that they will be seven in their hearts forever indeed!
JB, Jinyoung, Jackson, Mark, Youngjae, Yugyeom, and BamBam, all shared this sweet selfie on their official social media accounts alongside the hashtag #GOT7FOREVER.
Moreover, Mark further wrote a heartwarming caption when he shared the image on his Twitter account, where he wrote, “The past 7 years have been the best years of my life. Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end”.
Reported Future Plans Of The Members
According to an earlier report from Dispatch, GOT7 will be moving forward with their own individual activities after their departure from JYP Entertainment.
Jinyoung will possibly be signing with BH Entertainment, which is also home to some stellar drama actors, namely Lee Byung Hun, Kim Go Eun, and Park Bo Young. Yugyeom will reportedly sign on with AOMG Entertainment, founded by Jay Park and that houses big names Loco, Gray, and Punchnello, songstress Lee Hi, to name a few.
Youngjae is said to be looking at going forward with Sublime Artist Agency that has ace artists like Rain and EXID’s Hani under them.
Jackson will continue to stay with Team Wang and promote in both Korea and China. BamBam too plans to promote in two countries i.e Thailand and Korea and is also rumored to sign with MAKEUS Entertainment.
Meanwhile, JB has said to have received a lot of offers from multiple agencies for his solo activities, however his decision is yet to be announced. Finally, Mark is planning to return to the United States and open up his personal YouTube channel, and focus on his solo music.
