GOT7 Wins Two Awards At The “LINE Thailand People’s Choice Awards 2020”

It’s a double win for GOT7 at the LINE Thailand People’s Choice Awards 2020!

GOT7 received the “Artist of the Year” award and the “Most Downloaded Official Stickers” award at this year’s LINE Thailand People’s Choice Awards. GOT7’s official “GOT7 with I GOT7” LINE platform stickers that released in November 2019, garnered massive popularity from fans shortly after its release and thereby became the most downloaded sticker set of the year.

An annual entertainment awards presented by LINE TV Thailand, the event honors people in the entertainment industry and their achievements in the fields of music, television and drama.

GOT7, who was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, expressed their gratitude to LINE Thailand and their fans IGOT7 through VCR and said, “It is an award we received thanks to the fans and so it is even more honorable and meaningful. We were very happy to release the official line sticker “GOT7 with I GOT7”. We feel so proud and delighted that so many people like the stickers. We sincerely thank you for supporting us with a loving heart and GOT7 will work harder and repay you for your immense love.”

Additionally, Twitter recently shared a report on K-pop Twitter statistics and announced that there were a total of 6.1 billion K-pop related tweets in the past year. Among these, GOT7 performed exceptionally well. The septet is the third most followed K-Pop group on Twitter with 8.5 million followers. GOT7 rappers BamBam and Mark also placed at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively in the Individual accounts list of K-pop artists with the most followers on Twitter.

Moreover, GOT7’s chart topping hit “NOT BY THE MOON” placed at No. 8 on Twitter’s Top 10 most-mentioned K-pop songs list. The group also also reigned and took the top spot particularly in Thailand as the most mentioned K-Pop artists on Twitter and the third most mentioned artist overall. 

Meanwhile, GOT7 is gaining more global attention than ever and have been nominated in the “Top Social Artist” category of the Billboard Music Awards.
