KINGDOM has truly made their mark, well, like their KINGS they are and this latest feat just proves that. The talented septet entered this week’s Billboard chart for the first time since their debut.
According to Billboard on July 13, the stellar boy group’s title track “Karma” from their second mini-album History of Kingdom: Part II. Chiwoo ranked on the World Digital Song Sales Chart and positioned at No. 8.
This awe-inspiring accomplishment was achieved by the group within five months of their debut. This clearly proves the expansion of KINGDOM’s global popularity in a striking way. Moreover, this achievement is even more meaningful. It signifies the bedazzling boy group’s highest-ranking among male idols who made their debut in 2021.
KINGDOM’s new mini-album drew attention as soon as it was released. At the time, it ranked first on the iTunes Dance charts in the United States and Mexico. In addition, it proved its power by entering the Top 100 iTunes and Apple Music album charts in 25 countries, including Germany, France, UK, Italy, and Japan, as well as Korea.
The idol group consisting of members Moojin, Louis, Dan, Chiwoo, Arthur, Ivan, and Jahan have brought forth a unique concept of “Seven Kings from the Seven Kingdoms”. Their History of Kingdom series will follow a total of eight episodes to form an epic story about a king who wants to emerge as a true leader and archives the same with the help of six kings from different timelines.
KINGDOM has presented a cinematic worldview that captured the attention of global fans. This led them to earn the modifier of ‘fantasy idol’. Undeniably, anticipations are on the rise for these 4th generation idols as to what kind of musical styles and concepts they will showcase with their future releases.
