BUCKLE UP WORLD, LEE MIN HO IS ON HIS WAY TO MAKE HEARTS FLUTTER SOON!
Actor Lee Min Ho confirmed to appear in Apple TV+’s upcoming drama Pachinko. The OTT platform Apple TV+ is slated to start the production of the drama from October 26.
The drama is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by the Korean-American writer Lee Min Jin, and will be told in three languages: Korean, Japanese and English. It chronicles the lives of a Korean immigrant family for four generations, and showcases their hopes and dreams.
The line-up includes superstar actor Lee Min Ho is set to join the cast as the character Han Soo. He plays a merchant who has built up wealth and power with ties to the yakuza. The actor’s role is pivotal in the context of the story as an opportunist who is faithful to his desires and a mysterious person who embarks on an illicit romance with far-reaching consequences.
The other cast members include actors Jin Ha, Anna Sawai, Minha Kim, Soji Arai and Kaho Minami. Pachinko has themes of war and peace, love and separation, victory and loss which journeys across Korea, Japan and America. It is written by Soo Hugh, who also wrote The Terror and The Killing. She will be an executive producer for the series as well.
Meanwhile, the drama is expected to launch on Apple TV+ in late 2021 or early 2022. Pachinko will be produced by the production company Media Reds, while the filming for the stellar series will commence on October 26.
