MONSTA X’S MINHYUK TRULY GOT HEARTS RACING WITH HIS APPEARANCE ON KING OF MASK SINGER, DON’T YOU AGREE MONBEBE?
MONSTA X’s Minhyuk made an appearance on MBC’s King of Mask Singer recently. The singer made headlines and for good reason with his stint on the show.
Minhyuk showed off his versatile vocal skills on the program which aired on November 1 and November 8. He then took to his official SNS and unveiled some heartwarming snaps post the broadcast.
In the released photos, Minhyuk posed with a mask adorned with cute bird-shaped dolls, commemorating his appearance as “뱁새” (literal translation: crow-tit) on the show. Furthermore, being the epitome of sunshine that he is, he warmed hearts with his bright smile in the images.
In “King of Mask Singer,” Minhyuk captivated viewers with his evocative singing style. This was in stark contrast to his otherwise intense and powerful performances as a member of MONSTA X.
In the first round’s duet song, Minhyuk surprised the panel with his soft honeyed vocals as he sang Ann’s “One-sided Love,” in the second round, he sang Jo Junghyun’s “Even Loved The Pain,” which drew favorable reviews from the panel with his delicate and expressive voice.
In the third round, Minhyuk left viewers speechless with his rendition of Lee Hyunwoo’s “Because I Love You”. He showcased a strong stage presence as he unfolded his innate charms that reflected in his sweet voice. Post the performance, Yoo Young Seok said, “There is a feeling of something new that has not been tamed, and the voice itself is so outstanding. The textured sound in the vocals is something I look forward to. It’s like tender love in autumn.”
After the show, through his agency Starship Entertainment, Minhyuk said, “I hope it will be a good memory for Monbebe. Generally, the members are always by my side when I’m on stage, but this time since I was on the stage alone, I was very nervous and felt burdened. However, I learned a lot from other people’s great performances, so I think I’ve advanced a step further in that sense. I got so much confidence from the judges by hearing so many good things from them while singing as “뱁새” (literal translation: crow-tit). Thank you so much to everyone for making this time precious”.
He added, “I will continue to show you all a variety of music through our group and individual activities. So I hope you show us a lot of interest”.
Since his debut as MONSTA X in 2015, Minhyuk has been expanding his career in various fields. He has showcased a keen sense of entertainment as an MC on SBS’ Inkigayo. The vocalist is also leading the broadcast as a host for Naver’s NOW’s Vogueship Show. Recently, he delighted viewers as the MC of KT Seezn’s Back to the Idol. Minhyuk has established himself as an “all-around entertainer” with his participation in OSTs as well.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X has recently made a comeback with “Love Killa,” and unveiled their third full-length album FATAL LOVE.
