MONSTA X impress yet again with another fantastic feat, this time, on Tower Records’ mid-year charts!
MONSTA X achieved yet another stellar feat and proved that that are indeed powerhouse musicians with their performance for the first half of 2020 in Tower Records’ charts!
The group took the top spot and placed at number one on the Top K-Pop Singles Top 10 Chart for Tower Records mid-year count. They secured the spot with their beautiful Japanese single “Wish On The Same Sky”. In their announcement, Tower Records stated, that the song was one that, “attracted attention as the first ballad single from MONSTA X.”
The heartfelt ballad released in March along with its spellbinding music video. It was followed by its physical single album later in April. During the time of its release, the track swept away the highest ranks on prominent music charts, including Tower Records.
“Wish On The Same Sky,” is MONSTA X’s seventh Japanese single that was promoted by only five members of the group. The track is undoubtedly one of the most notable tracks from the boy group.
The emotions of the track are so authentic as expressed through the dynamic vocals of each of the members. The lyricism is an expression of a new beginning along with a continuing hope to reunite with a loved one despite the obstacles that may come their way.
Besides MONSTA X topping the chart, SF9 came in at No. 2 with their track, “Good Guy”. The group was followed by Stray Kids at No. 3 with their power packed track, “TOP”, that featured as the OST the Tower Of God anime.
The other top 10 songs on the K-Pop Singles Chart of Tower Records for the first half of 2020 include TXT – “MAGIC HOUR”, SEVENTEEN – “Fallin’ Flower”, ONEUS – “808”, ASTRO – “One & Only”, FUNKY GALAXY – “Sketch”, NATURE – “I’m So Pretty” (Japanese version) and IN2IT – “I’m Your Joker”, respectively.
