MONSTA X SPOTLIGHTS THEIR GLOBAL IMPACT AND POPULARITY AS THEY ENTER THE BILLBOARD 200 CHART FOR THE 2ND CONSECUTIVE WEEK WITH THEIR ALBUM THE DREAMING!
MONSTA X are indeed all-rounder players in every sense of the term as they achieved yet another smashing feat. The multifaceted sextet entered the Billboard 200 chart for two weeks in a row with their second full-length English album The Dreaming.
The talented supergroup also ranked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, Independent Albums chart, as well as the Top Current Albums Sales chart for the week ending on December 25 with The Dreaming.
Moreover the album’s tracks, namely, “The Dreaming” and “You Problem”, took the No. 12 and No. 19 spots respectively on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart. It goes without saying that MONSTA X proves their limitless capabilities as they continue to cruise global music charts to achieve career highs.
MONSTA X’s The Dreaming is an album that highlights their ever-evolving musicality in an amazing way. The musicians dazzle as they showcase their artistry through their eclectic melodies ranging from dance-pop to soft tones.
Moreover, it is an album that is more special than ever as the group’s much-loved leader Shownu participated in it before enlisting in the military in July. The ten tracks convey a heartwarming message of finding hope during difficult times and connecting through the medium of music.
This year saw MONSTA X release a total of 6 albums and attain some fabulous achievements. In Japan, their single “Wanted” as well as their 3rd regular Japanese album Flavors of love topped the Oricon and Tower Records charts. In addition to that, with their mini-albums, One Of A Kind and No Limit, they consistently broke their own best Initial Chodong records as well.
Moreover, the members showcased their versatility by participating as producers on both the aforementioned albums. Joohoney produced the lethal lead numbers “Rush Hour” and “GAMBLER” while Hyungwon and I.M worked on various tracks including “Secrets”, “Rotate”, “Mercy” and “Autobahn” among others.
Being as it is an album with such a steady musical effort, MONSTA X won 5 music shows for the first time with No Limit during their “Rush Hour” promotions.
Besides this, the group has been impressing fans with their individual activities as well. Hyungwon and Joohoney have been delighting as DJs for MBC’s Idol Radio Season 2. The former also took breaths away with his ace acting chops as the lead character on the web drama Fly, Again, for which he recently released a snappy OST titled “Picture”.
Furthermore, Kihyun and I.M are an undeniably dynamic duo as hosts for Midnight Idol. Minhyuk also displayed his keen sense of entertainment as a host of the Vogue Ship Show, the MC of the Season 2 of MBC’s Back to the Idol, and as the youngest member of Our Neighborhood Class.
