MONSTA X’s Shownu Releases A Sweet OST Track From tvN’s “Tale of the Nine Tailed”

MONSTA X’s SHOWNU IS HERE TO MELT HEARTS WITH HIS HONEYED HARMONIES!

MONSTA X’s multitalented leader Shownu released his highly awaited OST track from tvN’s drama Tale of the Nine Tailed. Titled “I’ll Be There”, it is a rock-style track that spotlights the superlative singing ability of the MONSTA X vocalist.

The music video released for the same showcases the bewitching world of the gumiho. It warms with its heartfelt stills that trace the love story between the lead characters Lee Yeon played by actor Lee Dong-Wook and Nam Ji Ah essayed by Jo Bo-Ah.

However, adding to the video’s ethereal charm is Shownu himself. Glimpses of the singer are seen in between shots of the drama. The MONSTA X member looks absolutely charismatic in his cool and casual style in the video as he serenades with his soulful voice.

“I’ll Be There” is a dreamy track that will lead listeners to the mystical world of the gumiho. The tracks exudes a magical charm and amazes with its powerful rhythms. The lyricism itself is spellbinding and straight from the heart with lines such as, “The traces of you that flashed through me/ Take me with you/ As time goes by, I’ll see you/ Where the walk leads me/ I’m gonna find you/ I don’t care/ Where you go/ Anywhere in the world/ I’ll be there.”

What makes this track more marvelous than ever is the singer himself. Shownu’s low, breathy notes add a beautiful texture against the dynamic guitar based alt rock melody. He then takes it to the next level with his fantastic high notes towards the end of the track.

SHOWNUThe track is Shownu’s first solo song since his debut as MONSTA X in 2015, and nine years after his last solo OST, which was the track “Now I Know” for the 2011 SBS drama Protect the Boss. The vocalist has captured hearts with his lovable charisma which radiates through his music. The adorable artist has also impressed with his matchless dance skills in his show-stopping performances as well.

tvN’s Tale of the Nine Tailed is a drama that follows the tale of a mythical nine-tailed fox, or gumiho, Lee Yeon who has just settled in the city. Taking a human form, he goes about cleansing human spirits while also creating trouble along the way. He is then chased relentlessly by the charming television producer Nam Ji Ah whose current show features urban myths.

The show then takes an interesting turn of events when the two characters start falling for each other. The captivating drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday night at 10:30 PM KST.

Meanwhile, Shownu will be showcasing his musical genius with MONSTA X who will be making a comeback with their third full-length album FATAL LOVE that will be releasing on November 2.
