Paul Kim Teams Up With DAY6’s Young K For A “quarantine” Collab

This captivating collaboration is certainly one we all needed to evoke comfort during the quarantine!

Now this what one can dub as a dynamic duo. DAY6’s Young K and multi talented soloist Paul Kim teamed up for what can only be called a picture perfect partnership for Paul Kim’s track titled “quarantine”.

Sitting in a quaint studio, the artists created quite a warm atmosphere with their cool and casual demeanor. Composed and written by Paul Kim, “quarantine” talks about how the singer spent his days at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kim had first released the track as well as a refreshing music video showcasing the singer engaging in fun activities while being stuck at home to go along with it on July 8.

The lyrics are the definition of the term relatable especially with lines such as, “As I’ve been stuck at home/ The desire to do something has only increased/ Although there aren’t that many things to do/ Must do something to feel alive/ Dalgona coffee I made as an exercise/ Even playing the jackstones I used to be good at/ Oh I’m transforming into a useful homebody/ The road walking with you/ And the evening sunsets/ The days of endless conversations/ All of those moments/ What do I truly miss babe/ All those familiar things/ And the repeating cycle of normality is what I yearn now.”

DAY6’s Young K brings forth this burst of vibrant energy with his honeyed voice and heartwarming visuals. The musician’s soft and saccharine breathy vocals harmonize flawlessly with Paul Kim’s husky, dulcet notes. Moreover, the ambient guitar gives off a serene and sweet vibe making this cover what it is – an absolute perfection.  This is definitely a collab that one shouldn’t miss out on!
