PSY HWASA NOW

PSY and Hwasa’s version of the song is titled “Now”, and is a cover of a 1987 song of the same name by South Korean band Seoul Family, which itself is a remake of Jackson and Zadora’s duet track called “When the Rain Begins to Fall” which released in 1984.

Talking about the track the “Gangnam Style” crooner said, “As Hwasa was born in 1995, it’s unlike;y that she is familiar with the original song”, however, he added, “There was no better fit for Hwasa than this”. He elaborated, “I promise I’m not exaggerating when I say if I couldn’t get Hwasa on this track, I wasn’t going to release it.”

The talented vocal queen also shared her thoughts on the new track and averred, “I thought it was a brand new song that Psy will be releasing. When I first heard it, I was shocked. I thought he [would send] over a hip-hop track, or something along those lines.”

Hwasa is the latest collaborator to feature on PSY’s upcoming comeback album. PSY 9th includes various stellar collaborations with ace artists including Crush, Epik High‘s Tablo, Heize, Sung Si-kyung, and more.

Much of the information about the tracks, including the title song, is under wraps at the time of writing, however, this rich roster has certainly added to the growing curiosity of what kind of sound styles the album will entail.
