#NowPlaying: Wonho Reveals Set Of Piquant Tunes On His “Bittersweet” EP

WONHO SPOTLIGHTS HIS EVOLUTION AS A WELL-ROUNDED ARTIST AS HE SHOWCASES HIS UNIQUE MUSICALITY WITH HIS LATEST RELEASE TITLED BITTERSWEET

Wonho has marked his highly anticipated return with his new single album. Titled Bittersweet, the EP sees the singer-songwriter flaunt his artistic flair while channeling a passionate mood.

The album comes about 4 months post the release of Wonho’s 3rd mini-album Facade which was released in June. The two tracks on the release are stellar works of collaboration between Wonho and his crewmember who is none other than the exclusive producer and hitmaker ENAN. Moreover, musician Sun Ahn and singer-songwriter Brother Su joined forces with the “Blue” crooner to create an album that boasts absolute perfection.

Wonho highlights his brilliance as a soloist as he brings forth a sublime musical experience. The single album entirely personifies its title with its two catchy numbers.

“Don’t Regret” serves as the release’s angsty and emotional title track. The song unravels a different side to Wonho as he delves into a more rock-ish feel. The tune falls under the bitter side of the EP as it elucidates a poignant rendering of a breakup. Featuring a catchy funk sound, reverberating guitars, and expert sound editing, the handsome idol captivates with his strong, dynamic vocals.

The lyricism further adds to the overall plaintive motif of the track as it talks about a parting of ways in a relationship with the hope of not feeling a sense of despondency for the same. Wonho definitely exudes an emotive vibe with this rock ballad, and with utter finesse at that.

Next, the vocalist reveals his versatility and a deeper color of music with the moody B-side song “On & On”. The atmospheric song features artist YUNHWAY who brings forth a sultry air with her breathy tones that harmonize beautifully with Wonho’s delicate vocals against the bass-heavy Afrobeat meets dance instrumental that only adds to the universal dreamy feel of the song.

Overall, Wonho manifests his rise as a multifaceted artist indeed. He continues to showcase accelerating growth with each album which sees him delving into differentiated concepts and brilliant performances. With Bittersweet, the idol impresses with his eclectic mix of tunes as he, once again, establishes his position as a force to be reckoned with.
