Wonho held his first debut stage on Mnet’s M Countdown today and it was fiery and fabulous. The program aired on September 10 and saw the soloist bring forth a dynamic energy with an intense performance of his lead track “Open Mind” from his chart topping debut album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me.
The artist showed off his chiseled physique in a bold and edgy all black attire. Matching up to the track’s impressive rhythm and foot thumping bass beat, Wonho captivated with his smooth dance moves. Additionally, the singer added to the overall charm of his performance with his show stopping visuals.
After dazzling in his debut stage, Wonho expressed his feelings and stated, “I’m glad that I was able to finish the first broadcast safely. I’m so happy to be on stage after a long time, and I’ll be the Wonho who works hard to make good memories with Wenee.”
The vocalist’s first mini-album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me released on September 4. The album as well as its title track “Open Mind” garnered rave reviews for its versatile musical style. Each of the eight songs on the album showcase diversity in terms of sound.
Wonho proved that he is an ace musician not just on the tracks but also due to the overall conceptualization of his album wherein all the tracks are an expression of the different sides and meanings of love, thereby confirming that it truly is Love Synonym indeed!
Post its release, the album ranked first in the world wide iTunes album chart in multiple countries including U.S, UK, India, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and Brazil . Additionally, it also ranked first in 20 countries around the world such as the Australia, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada on the iTunes Top K-POP Albums Chart and 10 other regions including Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Mexico, Japan, and Hong Kong.
