Wonho’s Debut Album “Love Synonym” Enters Six Billboard Charts

Wonho continues to stir hearts with his sweet vocals on his debut album as evident with this latest feat!

Wonho’s debut album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me enters six Billboard charts. The soloist’s addictive track “Open Mind,” ranked at No. 4 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. Additionally, the mini-album ranked ninth on the Billboard’s World Albums chart.

It also entered the Heatseekers Chart at No. 19, Album Sales Chart at No. 81, placed at No. 28 on the Emerging Artists Chart, and  ranked at No. 51 on the Current Album Sales Chart, thereby showcasing its global popularity.

Moreover, Wonho’s debut album showcased a remarkable performance on the global iTunes charts. The album ranked first on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart in multiple countries including U.S, UK, India, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and Brazil with his debut album within a day of release.

It also placed at No. 1 in 20 countries around the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Italy and Canada on the iTunes Top K-POP Albums Chart and 10 other regions including Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Mexico, Japan, and Hong Kong. 

Wonho’s pre-release single “Losing You” had also hit No. 1 on iTunes Top K-Pop Songs charts in at least 16 different countries across the globe, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Singapore, Malaysia, Peru, Chile, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, New Zealand, Mexico, and Austria.

The song also made it into the top 10 in 14 regions, including Canada, Italy, Hong Kong, Turkey, Germany, Brazil, and the Netherlands. “Losing You” also hit No. 20 on iTunes’ overall Top Songs chart in the United States, No. 16 on iTunes’ Top Singles chart and had ranked third on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart on the September 9 as well.

Wonho’s first mini-album Love Synonym #1: Right for Me released on September 4. The album as well as its title track “Open Mind” garnered rave reviews for its versatile musical style. Each of the eight songs on the album showcase diversity in terms of sound. The vocalist proved that he is an all round artist not just with his singing style but also as a composer and lyricist on the album. 

The title song “Open Mind” has been released in both Korean and English versions. The electro pop track stands out with its heart thumping beats with layered 808 bass and rising synths which pair like a dream against Wonho’s soft voice, his breathy falsettos and subtle high notes on the song.

Additionally, Wonho has been receiving a lot of praise for the track’s music video with its smooth dance moves and its magnetic and edgy style. The video has garnered 8 million views on YouTube at the time of writing. 

Meanwhile, Wonho has been showcasing his power packed performance for “Open Mind” on various shows with the most recent being Mnet’s M Countdown.

Wonho truly lit up the stage in his glimmering denim jacket as he swooned listeners with his harmonious voice and captivated viewers with his dashing visuals.
